Kahrs
roots go back over 140 years producing toys, furniture and doors
and in 1941 Gustaf Kahrs was granted a patent for the works' first
multi-layered parquet. This structure not only made the floor
stronger and more stable it also meant that more people had the
opportunity to have genuine woods floors.
The philosophy of Kahrs is very much geared to causing the least
possible impact on the environment. Swedish forestry is regulated
in such a way that new forests are always planted after felling.
Within the Kahrs
wood flooring range
there are a huge number of styles and
species of timber available in a variety
of different finishes. Their floors are
suitable to go over most prepared subfloors
generally as a floating system but can,
if required, be fully bonded to a suitable
subfloor.
